Nathan Sawaya, a former NYC corporate lawyer, is an award-winning artist best known for creating contemporary art out of LEGO bricks.
His global touring exhibitions called, The Art of the Brick, feature large-scale sculpture using these toy building blocks. His unique exhibition uses LEGO as an art medium and his creations were built from standard bricks beginning as early as 2002. His art consists of playing with color, material, light, movement and perspective.
Sawaya is highly regarded in the contemporary art world and has created a new dimension by combining Pop Art and surrealism in innovative ways. Check out some of his awe-inspiring creations below.
