Artist Reimagines Popular Song Titles as Vintage Book Covers

ToddAlcottGraphics is about “Cultural Mashups and Midcentury Madness,” according to screenwriter and graphic artist Todd Alcott. He turns popular songs into classic book covers.

His bestselling covers include 1974’s “Young Americans” by David Bowie which he recreated as a 1950s pulp novel, 1969’s “Space Oddity” by David Bowie as 1950s-era sci-fi comic book, and Elvis Costello’s 1977 song “Watching the Detectives,” which he recreated as a midcentury pulp detective novel.

He also transformed classic novels such as Nancy Drew’s “The Secret of the Missing Fu**s,” into plain, more worn-out book cover. All his covers are printed on high quality heavy, glossy paper with vibrant colors. For more of his incredible mashup prints, you can check his online shop.
