]]>Bob is a New York City street artist who became famous for his whimsical interventions that transform the urban landscapes of his hometown as well as numerous cities in the United States and across the world. He explores the streets of these cities in order to find unique objects that he then turns into quirky creatures, food items, and fashion pieces, among others.
Using spray paint and stencils, Bob transforms a manhole cover into a delicious pizza, the AC condenser unit becomes a robot, while gas installations take the shape of a jolly elephant.
With his interventions, Bob notdoesn’t only wants to instill some life into the city streets but also give locals an opportunity to see the beauty of street art.
“Street art is the most democratic art form in the world. You don’t need to go into a museum to see it. It’s for everyone,” Bob explained in an interview with ABC.

]]>Most of Martinet’s sculptures start as a sketch. From there, the artist goes through his impressive collection of metal parts to pick out the ones that fit perfectly or can be manipulated in order to bring his vision to life. Sometimes, it can take months or even years for him to finish a particular piece, as he prefers to wait until he finds the perfect part instead of making adjustments to his original idea.
Martinet sources his materials by visiting flea markets, garage sales, and antique shops. There, he picks up items that he believes could fit in a piece he works at that particular moment or could come in handy in the future.
One particularly impressive thing about Martinet’s creative process is that he doesn’t weld the individual parts of the sculpture. Instead, he uses screws and fasteners to keep them in place.
Martinet regularly shares his newest creations on social media. Scroll down to check out more of them.

]]>In a series of Instagram posts, which quickly spread on social media, Karpitsky documented the process of building the boat as well as its first sail. And no, the boat hasn’t sunk.
In one of the videos shared on his Instagram page, Karpitsky can be seen laying down blocks of ice to create the body of the boat before sculpting it into proper shape using a chainsaw. He even built a roof for the boat and fitted it with a helm and paddle wheels for added authenticity.
The final result of Karpitsky’s project was impressive, as the ice boat looked just like the real thing. And, as another clip showed, the boat had no problem staying afloat even with passengers onboard.
Karpitsky is a well-known sculptor in his native Belarus, having built all sorts of amazing pieces out of ice and snow. This includes a castle, a tower, and a violin. Check out more photos of his icy boat, as well as some of his other creations, below.

]]>Mock gives discarded metal a new purpose by turning it into amazing metal sculptures. He welds together hundreds and sometimes thousands of metal pieces, both big and small, to craft animals, guitars, portraits, and more.
Despite working with such demanding material, Mock is able to recreate features of his subjects to the slightest detail. To make it all even more impressive, the Oregon native is a self-taught artist who never had any conventional training in metalwork.
“Giving old, everyday objects a new life as one sculpture is an artistically demanding, yet gratifying, process, “the artist states on his official website. “My work is designed to emphasize resourcefulness and encourage viewer engagement. Audience reactions fuel my creativity and help me bring my visions to life. “
Mock has gained a lot of attention from the art world because of his metal sculptures. His pieces have been exhibited across the world in galleries and public spaces while also being the subject of two books. Check out more of them by scrolling below.

]]>The show not only brought smiles and awe to the faces of 2,000 visitors but also broke two Guinness World Records. The image of the standing Nutcracker was honored with the world record for the “largest aerial display of a fictional character formed by multirotors/drones.”
On the other hand, the image showing a Christmas tree packed with gifts in front of a snow-covered window set the world record for “the largest aerial image formed by multirotors/drones.”
The show was initially supposed to feature 1,500 drones, but one drone didn’t make it to the air. Luckily, its absence wasn’t notable, and the show still managed to look amazing.
“It was so amazing to break two Guinness World Records in my hometown once again. There’s nothing better than bringing the holiday spirit to families, and I think this show did just that,” Preston Ward, Chief Pilot of Sky Elements Drone Shows, told Guinness World Records’ official website.

]]>A big reason why Heinzman’s clay vessels are so great is that the artist doesn’t strive for perfection according to her own admittance. She allows her intuition to take the driver’s seat during the process of creating a piece, resulting in one-of-a-kind creations.
Describing her work, Heinzman says it’s meant to “represent the duality of the desire to escape and succumb to nature and the desire to control nature and to be drawn into human civilization.” Her designs are based on the imagery found in nature and borrow patterns from leaves, flowers, and fruit. This is why it isn’t surprising that colors play an important part in the artist’s creative process.
“I use vibrant colors like a bird of paradise would, or perhaps a flower, or a juicy fruit; as an invitation to pick up what I am putting down, to cross-pollinate, to take a bite, etc.,” she explains.

]]>Lucas’ “CRISPS” series contains wall hangings, bags, and rugs dedicated to the most popular snack brands like Pringles, Cheetos, Doritos, and various others.
“Eating crisps is a pastime that connects us all,” she explains. “In fact, consuming a simple packet of crisps is so delicious and addictive, that we’re all quite opinionated about which crisp brand is our favorite.”
While creating the works from the “CRISPS” series, Lucas embraces the imperfections like hanging threads or warped lettering. According to her, this gives her works more character compared to clean originals.
The artist weaves snack packages with a combination of cotton warps, linen, and rug yarn. She uses backstrap weaving, which is an ancient technique of weaving used commonly in South America. This method requires the warp to be attached on one end to a weaver while the other end is attached to a tree or some other solid object.
Lucas will present “CRISPS” in their entirety in late November when her works will be available for purchase. In the meantime, continue scrolling to check out more of the designs she has revealed so far.

]]>Kintsugi is a traditional Japanese technique used for repairing broken pottery or other objects, during which broken pieces are joined together using gold or silver. The idea is that the repair should be visible because it is part of the history of the object.
Taking a new approach with kintsugi, MOLI decided to imagine broken pieces of technology being brought back to life with gold. The series features four iconic tech gadgets from Japan, including the original Nintendo Game Boy, a digital watch produced by Seiko, Sony Mega Watchman, and Sony’s vertical PS-F9 turntable, aka The Flamingo.
According to the studio, the goal of the Golden Era series is to pay tribute to Japan’s pop culture and country’s tradition.
“Hidden in the narrow streets of Japan’s urban landscape, tech gems from the 80s are given a second chance to shine,” Moli says about the project. “Through their scars, these nostalgic-driven rescues become time decoration treasures, carrying secrets and stories from another life.”
