Bodil Jane is a talented illustrator from Amsterdam, the Netherlands. She became famous internationally thanks to her quirky style. All of her illustrations include handmade elements, using mostly ink and watercolors, and some digital techniques.
She loves to draw people, animals, food, recipes, fashion, interiors, plants, packages and maps. Her artwork is like discovering an antique shop full of colourful goodies.
When asked by Folio Art to describe her illustrations in five words, Bodil replied, “Playful, feminine, colorful, handmade, cute.”
Her style is usually created by hand but she’s been experimenting with more mixed media, “using textures of digital lines. Still the base of my illustrations is always very analog.”
