]]>April’s Baker was founded by Roxy Mankoo in 2019, after she decided to take a leap of faith and start her own luxury bespoke cake business. Her sister Corinne Mankoo later joined her as co-director and used her background in event design and business management to help this brand thrive.
Before founding her own brand, Roxy Mankoo trained at Le Cordon Bleu, and polishes her baking skills across London and New York. Food has always been one of the biggest joys in her life, and she wanted to put a creative twist on it and transform it into a true work of art.
April’s Baker’s cakes will give you nostalgia overload, and they borrow inspiration from many different eras. The Mankoo sisters are huge fans of Marie Antoinette aesthetic, but the pastel color palette of their cakes is also inspired by the cartoons they grew up watching, such as Polly Pockets and My Little Pony.
