Everything started when Pot decided to do an experimental rug. He wanted to see whether he could take colorful ropes, stitch them together, and make a really big carpet. However, his project immediately encountered some serious bumps.

Each time Pot would stitch a large number of ropes together, they refused to stay flat. He was about to call it quits when his fellow-designer Vladi Rapaport noticed that the curved samples remind him of a mask.

Pot then started over, using the same technique, but this time attempting to make a mask instead of a rug. This second experiment turned out to be a big success, as he ended up with expressive, one-of-a-kind masks that look amazing.

“The possibilities are endless, I’m meeting new faces every day,” says Pot.

His works became quite popular since then, and they found their way to art collections around the world. Check out some of Pot’s works below.
