]]>Founded in Malaysia in 2021, Atasan Studio became a true sensation on social media, with 200,000 followers and counting. Their creations are deeply rooted in Japanese culture and perfectly capture the spirit of this country through such motifs as Sakura flowers, koi fish, and dragons.
The main reason why Atasan Studio’s designs became such a huge sensation is the fact they’re usually pop-culture-themed. The majority of their designs borrow inspiration from popular anime and manga series, such as One Piece and Attack on Titan.
The majority of Atasan Studio’s corsets are a love letter to Studio Ghibli’s animated movies. From Howl’s Moving Castle and Ponyo to My Neighbor Totoro and Kiki’s Delivery Service, it’s highly likely you’ll find a corset inspired by your favorite Ghibli film on their Instagram page.
Atasan Studio’s designs are handmade by artisans in their small studio, and they come in a wide range of sizes because they’re custom-made. You don’t even have to be an anime fan to enjoy them because Atasan offers a wide range of beautiful designs that aren’t rooted in a pop culture.

]]>Studio Ghibli announced on their social media that the first Studio Ghibli theme park is set to open its doors to visitors on November 1, 2022.
The park draws inspiration from memorable scenes from Studio Ghibli movies, and the idea is to focus on sightseeing instead of rides. Some of the content includes Mei and Satsuki’s house from My Neighbor Totoro, the dining area from Spirited Away, and a replica of Irontown from Princess Mononoke.
Studio Ghibli theme park will be located in Aichi Earth Expo Memorial Park, situated in the city of Nagakute. The area’s tourism bureau has already started with the promotion campaign by releasing a video that showcases some of the park’s scenery.
According to the official announcement, the theme park will consist out of five areas, each dedicated to a certain movie or common motifs in Studio Ghibli’s works. Three areas – Springtime of Life Hill, Ghibli Warehouse, and Dondoko Forest – will be available on an opening day.
The remaining two, Mononoke’s Village Area and Witches’ Valley Area, are still under construction and won’t be open to the public until 2023.
