Artist Makes Realistic Miniature Quarter-Sized Paintings

Rachel Beltz is an artist who depicts miniature portraits using watercolors. The realistic paintings measure only 28x28mm, which is roughly the size of a United States quarter.

Although the painter took art lessons in high school, she is mostly self-taught and has been into painting since she was a little girl. The idea to start depicting miniature artworks was born two years ago.

“I am on a mission to make people stop and appreciate the ‘little’ wonderful details of their everyday life,” she said in a statement for Bored Panda. “Imagine a house small enough to fit under a single key on your keyboard… maybe your favorite singer… or even a ferocious tiger that could fit under a mere postage stamp? I have painted them all; squeezing in each and every detail.”

Her art pieces have been sold in countries worldwide: from Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong, and so on. In her Instagram gallery, you can see portraits depicted portraits of Harry Potter characters, Iron Man, images of famous movie stars, musicians, athletes, and animals.

If you are interested in commissioning Beltz, you can send her a DM on Instagram or contact her through her website.
