Artist Sara Schroeder loved drawing and sketching when she was growing up, but she couldn’t have imagined that it would turn into a full-time job for her. In an interview for Voyage Mia, she recalls: “I took every art class offered by my middle school and high school – so much so that by my senior year there were no more classes left for me to take, and I registered to be a teacher’s aid in the art room, hoping I could make things while I was there.”
When you put in so much time and energy into something, it’s almost guaranteed to turn out as you planned. Today, Schroeder shares her work on her Instagram page where she has over 36,000 followers. But, at one point, she put her art aside and didn’t pick it up for years. It happened when she became a mom and didn’t have as much time as she did before. Luckily, she got a reminder about the importance of art for her life and she continued creating colorful and vibrant pieces.
