]]>For several years now, Shrimali and Bird have been amazing social media users and art enthusiasts with their well-crafted miniature paper artworks. Their works are mostly inspired by birds and animals, with artists striving to redefine paper as a material and use it to educate people about our planet’s biodiversity through art.
The new series, “Parrot Project,” features paper miniatures of 40 different species of parrots. Each miniature is meticulously cut by hand and painted, resulting in a realistic depiction of these fascinating birds.
According to Shrimali and Bird, the goal of the “Parrot Project” was both to show their beauty and help people realize how important they are.
“We want our audience to not just appreciate the beauty of this wonderful species but also understand its importance in nature,” the duo stated.
Shrimali and Bird made these parrot miniatures available for sale on The Paper Ark website while adding a good cause component. They will donate 10% of each sale to organizations that focus on parrot conservation.

Kothekar got the idea for his unique paper art while experimenting with graffiti stencils. He decided to invert the original design, and his first paper artwork was born.
“The process of inverting the design and carving it from a single piece of paper is fascinating, as the final product is a mystery until the very end,” Kothekar shared in a recent interview.
Paper art was originally just a hobby for Kothekar, but it didn’t take long before he started viewing it as a profession. He now has an Etsy shop on which he sells his works while also enjoying a large social media following.
“My beautiful artworks are based on everyday aspects of life. If it is challenging, it motivates me,” the artist explains.
